10/28/15 Katie's Healthy Eating Journal: Friday

Happy Friday!  I had a small success today!  I am back down to 124.6!  Since I'm going back to my consultant who is further away I'm only weighing in every other week.  Hopefully I can keep this up and make slow, steady progress to exiting the program.  What did I do differently this week?  I did do a week of choosing my own food from JC - which meant a lot of Cheesy Omelets and Triple Chocolate Cheesecakes because they're my favorite.  Eating the same foods frequently will not help break the plateau but I felt I deserved it after last week of eating a planned menu that was a bunch of things I didn't like.  Next week I will go back to a strict planned menu again to try and get closer to my goal weight.  All week of course, the scale didn't budge so last night I decided to suck it up and go back to my kickboxing DVD workout that I used to do before FJ.  The reason I've been avoiding this is because I'd rather do exercise that involves my family.  I feel like horseback riding already takes me away from them so much.  The constant struggle to be a mom, wife, teacher, friend, and pet owner are constantly pulling at me.  I always prefer walking, jogging, or hiking because it means that I can still be with my husband and son and my dogs are getting out too.  So, grabbing a bit more of "me" time just to reach my goal weight makes me feel selfish.  I'm not sure these feelings will ever go away - the guilt.  My husband had to work late so I decided to try working out upstairs while my son played.  This is never a relaxing workout because you're always waiting for the moment when you'll have to stop because he'll want to eat or be held.  LOL, you should've seen me!  A few times FJ wanted up (I think because he was fascinated with all the movement and wanted to be a part of it!) so I would be doing lunges, punching bags, etc. meanwhile my son is on my hip!  Never a dull moment as a mom that's for sure!  Maybe he helped burn a few extra calories!

JC Cheesy Omelet

1 cup coffee with fat-free creamer


Snack -

JC Anytime Bar

Lunch -

JC Cheesy Potatoes and Chicken


Snack -

3/4 cup strawberries

Dinner -

JC Chicken Fajitas

Salad (mixed greens, peppers, mushrooms) 2 tbsp. light ranch

Snack -

JC Triple Chocolate Cheesecake

Thanks for that. Very informative material. I’ve tried looking for this kind of information for a long time and its hard to do that with thousands if not millions of searches on Google. But with luck, I stumbled upon this page. I appreciate the information you’ve put into this.
