This weekend was great!  I really stuck to my diet except for a few minor "free" foods.  I tried to bring back ketchup and sugar-free jello; neither of which apparently my body wants anything to with.  I had gained two pounds last week.  I was so mad because I have been doing the strict 1200 caloric diet that JC picks for you.  I don't like half of the food on the planned week so I was pretty frustrated that I had gained all because of a little ketchup and jello.  So, I decided to try something different on Friday:  my new consultant had asked me to bring back my morning glass of milk even though I was having creamer in my coffee.  My old consultant used to say that both were considered milk so I had to choose one or the other.  I ALWAYS opt for coffee and creamer instead of a glass of milk.  So, for the past month with the new consultant I had brought back my glass of milk (2 cups per day are recommended on my diet; my anytime bar counts as my other glass) and had not lost any weight.  Sometimes when you don't lose for many weeks a JC nutritionist will suggest upping your calories for a week or two and then going back to your recommended caloric intake - usually people end up losing.  So, Friday I thought maybe this is what had happened to me, I had increased my calories just slightly, and maybe I should take the glass away.  By Saturday morning I had dropped back down to 125.0 which caused me to lose a pound at JC!  Hooray!  If I could just break past the 125 mark so that I will be at this weight on the JC scale.  I even got to exchange a "fat" for a glass of wine last night which was really nice.  My husband and I sat on our back porch on rocking chairs, looking at the stars, just talking and enjoying a glass of wine.  It's nice to be able to do this every now and then without an increase in weight.

There are many people that want to lose a lot of weight and are willing to try anything from a stomach staple to a far out wacky diet. Some diets are controversial and can be injurious to health. Others are short-term starvation.
